In many Arab and Islamic countries, the movement to study abroad is associated with periods of economic prosperity. During periods of increased financial resources and expanded development plans, we find that the graph of the number of students sent abroad increases significantly. When financial resources decrease and government program priorities shift to meet essential needs, this impacts scholarship opportunities.
